I didn't marry one, my sister didn't either as she thought they were all "wimps". My friend married an elder who was violent to her so she commited adultery to get divorced and the JWs felt sorry for him!!!! >:-( x

According to one JW there can only be 1 of 3 reasons why you left.
by Bonsai ini asked an old jw friend of mine why so many baptized individuals leave the jw religion.
"did it ever occur to you, old friend, that maybe they know something that you don't know and have valid reasons for leaving?
", i asked.. his response set me back for an answer.

After being interrogated by two elders who refused to believe I was not having a sexual relationship with anyone I never returned and because I would not attend a judicial hearing after the aggressive way they were with me. I have been disfellowshipped by them as they do not believe I am not doing in reality the things they "wet dream" about. Pass the nutcrackers I know just what to do with them!! ;-) x

Unfortunately she will not see you as a her husband but the "Devil" who is using you to destroy her true faith. If she is not ready to listen there is no point in trying. Let go and she will see these things more for herself (hopefully) in time. :-) x -

My Conclusion After Research
by Disassociated Lady 2 insince leaving the jws i have looked into many beliefs and have come to this conclusion.. paganism has a high regard for women, as they worship goddesses and respect the female for the ability to give birth to new life.
christianity puts females in second place to males and blames women for male temptations which goes back to eve eating the fruit and tempting adam with it.
they also created a devil with the appearance of the pagan god pan and built churches on pagan worship sites so that people would still go there to worship, but within a christian building.. i have come to the conclusion that paganism versus christianity is about a battle of the sexes.. the fear of demonic forces is taught by religions to deter you from straying.

In reply to "half-banana" saying "why worship anything at all" humans seem to have an inbuilt need to worship, if not Gods they put other people on pedestals until they come tumbling down.
None of us need a religion or organization to tell us how to worship, we know right from wrong and are all different and see things in our unique way. The important relationship is just between the almighty spirit (whatever you wish to call it) and yourself.
No one has the right to interfere in that. As long as you are not harming anyone else and living a good life, that's all you need. :-) x

JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES & THE MANDELA EFFECT
by jwdoctrine inclick here for full article.
the mandela effect seems to be at the root of all problems the watchtower publishing corporation seems to be running into recently .if you don’t know what the mandela effect is then you have been hiding under a stone for the past 2 years .it is the hottest topic in conspiracy theories at the moments with thousands of videos dedicated to this phenomenon on youtube alone.

The insanity continues
by FedUpJW inas if anymore proof were needed that what used to be the religion i was baptized into has ceased to exist i was asked this insane question, when i mentioned to a jdub that someone i knew was celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
are they witnesses?".
i didn't used to really think about that insane question in the past, but now that i have woke up to ttatt it is glaringly obvious that they think there can be no chance of actually knowing and getting along with anyone outside their tiny circle of conditional friends.

My sister has been an inactive JW for years, ran a nightclub and has never been investigated for it. she goes clubbing with other JWs and there are photos of them all drunk on social media. Some seem to get away with so much while others are scrutinized! :-/ x

Since leaving the JWs I have looked into many beliefs and have come to this conclusion.
Paganism has a high regard for women, as they worship Goddesses and respect the female for the ability to give birth to new life.
Christianity puts females in second place to males and blames women for male temptations which goes back to Eve eating the fruit and tempting Adam with it. They also created a Devil with the appearance of the Pagan God Pan and built churches on Pagan worship sites so that people would still go there to worship, but within a Christian building.
I have come to the conclusion that Paganism versus Christianity is about a battle of the sexes.
The fear of demonic forces is taught by religions to deter you from straying. The horror films that are presented about the occult are also designed to instill fear into its viewers. The reason for this is when you do find out the truth of what religion is about, which is mainly power over people, you no longer need it and these organizations lose their power over you.
In all my research and attending different churches and organizations, the only demonic forces (if you can call them that) I have experienced are from people themselves and you will meet some in all organizations and belief systems.
The word FEAR can stand for False Expectation Appearing Real. Your mind shapes your life much more than you realize, if you think you are cursed then you may as well be!!
I would be very interested to hear what you have learnt since leaving the JWs :-) x

Your upbringing does stay with you especially when discussing it with others. Its all we ever knew and lived our lives along with it. I was not a little "robot" like other children my sister and I misbehaved at meetings as we were so bored and I could not connect with a God I could not see and who I felt had not cared for me and protected me as a child.
I felt it was the right decision to leave it and my conscience was not affected when I looked into other religions and researched the "life after death" philosophy.
I did not raise my children in any religion, I suggested they keep an open mind and make their own minds up as to what they wanted to believe. Its a little like forcing your children to eat vegetables, it could put them off for life!
It was not until lately when I have read about the effects of being raised in a cult, just how much it has unconsciously had influence on my thought patterns and views of people and relationships. I am shocked as I had spent most of my life thinking that I was free of it when in fact I am not.
Of course being shunned by your JW family does have an effect, as seeing other close families is a constant reminder of the life you could have had and all that was taken from you. Very sad.
